Sheepscot River Pottery was founded in 1974 and is now a second-generation, women-owned and family-operated business — celebrating fifty years of handcrafted Maine pottery. Every piece is thrown, glazed, and hand-painted in our Edgecomb studio by a small team of artisans, many of whom have been with us for decades. Our pottery is inspired by all the beauty of Maine — the coast, the working harbors, the wildflowers, the lobster boats, the granite shore. From a single mug to a full table setting to a custom commissioned tile backsplash, our work is made to be used. Every piece is microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe.
